This November, Mariposa Arts Theatre will be bringing Neil Simon's classic comedy"Barefoot in the Park" to the Studio Theatre at the Opera House. Auditions for this show will be on Thursday, June 10 & Friday, June 11 at the MAT warehouse on Brammer Drive. Audition times will be from 7-9 pm and no appointments are needed. Please prepare a short comedic monologue. We are looking for the following:
Corie - woman, age 20-40
Paul - man, age 25-40
Victor - man, age 40-60
Mother - woman, age 40-60
telephone man - man, age 30-60

Every year, the cast and crew of the "big show" never get to see the "big show". So, this June 7th, at 7:00 PM at the MAT Warehouse at 12 Brammer Drive in Orillia, there will be an encore presentation in video format of MATs production of "Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street!" Bring a lawn chair, some popcorn and beverages and sit down for the final 'showing' of this great production. Admission is by donation (whatever you think it is worth). See you there!
2009-2010 was MAT's 40th anniversary season. The Museum exhibit is now over. MAT is proud of its tradition of bringing fine theatrical presentations to the City of Orillia and many people of this area have been involved with MAT over the years. This was all captured in the Museum exhibit and the history is there for all to see and reminisce over. We are proud of our community theatre and the shows we present! Copies of the "photo CD" that include over 800 images from the past right up to the present may be purchased by contacting any MAT Board member. This is the same CD that was on display at the museum during the exhibit. A limited number of posters (as seen here) are still available for purchase.
