Mariposa Arts Theatre’s spring production
Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike
By Christopher Durang
Directed by Michael Clipperton

This comedy revolves around the relationships of three middle-aged siblings. The following actors are needed:

Vanya – male 50's living in Bucks County, PA. and resigned to his life, more or less, at least compared to Sonia.
Sonia – female early 50’s. Vanya’s adopted sister, living with Vanya, discontent, upset and regretful.
Masha – female 50's, Vanya’s glamourous and successful sister. She is an actress who goes galavanting around the world.
Spike – male late 20's to early 30's. An aspiring actor and Masha's new companion. He is sexy, self-absorbed, but otherwise outgoing and friendly.
Nina – female early to mid 20's. A lovely, sincere would-be actress visiting her aunt and uncle next door. She is star-struck, earnest and energetic
Cassandra – female any age. She is the cleaning lady and soothsayer. She quotes Shakespeare (sort of) and practices voodoo.

Rehearsals will begin Sunday, January 15 at the MAT Centre. Rehearsals will be taking place during March Break.

Performance dates are March 30,31 and April 1,2, 6,7,8,9

Mariposa Arts Theatre Foundation (MAT) is thrilled to announce its 2016-2017 season!

Once again, we are delighted to be offering one of our most exciting seasons yet.  Building on the success of our hugely popular fall 2015 production of You’ll Get Used to It!. The War Show, we begin our new season with Waiting for the Parade, followed by Death and the Maiden, and ending with Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike.

It will be a season to remember. We are sticking to what we are all about:  plays that entertain, challenge, and delight, while giving us something to think about.
