MARIPOSA ARTS THEATRE

PRESENTS ...

A PLAY AND A TART!

Building on the hugely successful inaugural presentation of live theatre in our newly converted performance space in June 2015, Mariposa Arts Theatre is excited to announce its June 2016 show.

On June 2nd, June 3rd, June 4th, and June 5th , 2016,  MAT will present The Melville Boys,  a full 2 act play by Norm Foster. The play begins with plans for a relaxing weekend trip full of fishing, football and beer for the Melville brothers -  along with confronting eldest brother Lee’s terminal illness. But their plans are altered when the boys meet two attractive sisters, who inadvertently change more than just their agenda. The Melville Boys is a lighthearted comedy full of vigor about brotherhood and the unexpected.

The shows will be held in our performance space at 12 Brammer Drive, Orillia. Tickets are $20 per person and will include a delicious tart plus coffee or tea at intermission.

Show time will be 7:30 on June 2nd, 3rd, 4th and at 2:00 p.m. on June 5th.  Only 160 tickets will be available for all four shows – so hurry and get yours early.  Contact us at mariposaartstheatre@gmail.com for tickets.

MAT ANNOUNCES

NEW SEASON

Mariposa Arts Theatre Foundation (MAT) is thrilled to announce its 2016-2017 season!

Once again, we are delighted to be offering one of our most exciting seasons yet.  Building on the success of our hugely popular fall 2015 production of You’ll Get Used to It!. The War Show, we begin our new season with Waiting for the Parade, followed by Death and the Maiden, and ending with Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike.

It will be a season to remember. We are sticking to what we are all about:  plays that entertain, challenge, and delight, while giving us something to think about.
